Erin has been directing at the Collegiate level for the past 7 years. She is currently pursuing her MFA in Direction at University of Idaho.
She has directed and/or taught at Adelphi University, Marymount Manhattan College, Hofstra University, and University of Connecticut.
She has taught Master Classes in Musical theater all over the country, as well as at BroadwayCon.
She is much sought after for her opinions and experience on the casting of AANHPIs in particular, and has weighed in on things like The Mikado, Miss Saigon, and casting a non Asian Christmas Eve in Avenue Q.
In 2025, she was honored to give the Commencement speech to the graduates of the BFA Musical Theater program at Molloy University.
Her speech for LA Stage Day, was considered a landmark achievement in discussing equality and casting, and was incorporated as part of a one woman show in the U.K.
She continues to teach, speak, write, and advocate across all platforms, because she wants to participate in the conversation, as the conversation continually changes.
